Born from the Institute for the Promotion
\nof Recycled Plastics (IPPR) is the idea to create,
\nfirst in Italy and Europe, an ecological label for
\nmaterials and products made from recycled
\nplastic: the PSV Plastic Second Life certification.
\nThe Mark is an environmental product
\ncertification system dedicated to materials and
\nproducts obtained from the recovery of plastic
\nwaste from separate collection and from industrial
\nwaste. It is the first Italian and European label
\ndedicated to recycled plastic, introducing the
\nconcepts of \u201cquality\u201d and \u201ctraceability\u201d
\nin recycling plastics. The Mark was created to
\nmake recyclable plastic goods more visible and
\neasily identifiable, especially those intended

PSV By-Product<\/strong>: certifies plastic materials managed as by-products (i.e., residues,
\nscraps, and pre-consumer plastic industrial waste derived from both the production and
\ntransformation of polymers, effectively used in the same or a subsequent process of
\nplastic material processing by the producer or third parties, without further treatment
\nbeyond normal industrial practice, as they already meet the sector\u2019s commodity
\nrequirements, for additional production\/transformation activities of plastic materials)
\nand\/or materials and\/or semi-finished products and\/or products made from by-products.
\nMinimum by-product content \u2265 5%. The possibility of reducing this percentage is subject
\nto authorization by IPPR in the presence of specific technical or regulatory provisions.
\nCompliance with Article 184 bis of Legislative Decree 152\/2006 is an indispensable
\nprerequisite for certification.<\/p>\n
